The Saint Barth Film Festival “Cinéma Caraïbes” is back after a two-year absence due to the Covid pandemic. On May 4-7, 2022, the festival will celebrate its 25th anniversary, which did not take place as planned in 2020, or again in 2021.
Four feature-length films are on the program for the 25th St Barth Film Festival, including two documentaries. The first two films will be shown on May 4 and 5 at AJOE in Lorient, while the films on May 6 and 7 will be shown on the dock in Gustavia, pending approval from the Collectivity.

Quelque part sur une route de Guyane, Solange et son père, Paul, font du stop. Au fil de leur déambulation forcée, et de rencontres parfois étranges frisant le mystique, ils en apprennent plus chacun sur l'autre et sur eux-mêmes au point de mettre à l’épreuve le lien qui les unit. Ils tentent de renouer après de longues années de silence, mais le chemin est difficile...un road movie pour une immersion totale en Guyane.
Le réalisateur, Serge Poyotte, nous emmène dans sa Guyane natale avec son histoire, les stigmates du passé, sa culture, les vibrations des composantes de la société multiethnique. Il évoque avec subtilité la figure traditionnelle du Touloulou et choisit de la déplacer et de la dépasser pour mettre en lumière la fragilité de Solange.
Ricky Tribord
Ricky Tribord est né à Paris. Sa famille est originaire de la Guyane. Entre 1997 et 2002, il se forme au métier de comédien à l'Atelier Blanche Salant-Paul Weaver, puis au Magasin avec Marc Adjadj.
Il obtient son premier rôle au cinéma dans le film Virilité de Ronan Girre, puis, il est distribué notamment dans Trois zéros de Fabien Onteniente, Orpailleur de Marc Barrat, dans la série Code barge et dans la série britannique Meurtres au paradis. En 2011, il joue le rôle principal dans La France qui se lève tôt, un court-métrage de Hugo Chesnard nommé aux César et prix du public au Festival international du court métrage de Clermont-Ferrand.
En 2016, il donne la réplique à Franck Dubosc dans Les Têtes de l'emploi d'Alexandre Charlot et Franck Magnier. En 2017, on le voit dans un épisode du Bureau des légendes, interprète Gabriel dans la série Guyane et Mickaël dans Bienvenue au Gondwana de Mamane1.
Pour le cinéaste français Pélagie Serge Poyotte, il est tête d’affiche du film Le Lien qui nous unit en 2019.

Along the road somewhere in Guyana, Solange and her father, Paul, are hitchhiking. During their forced wandering, and sometimes strange encounters bordering on the mystical, they learn more about each other and about themselves to the point of testing the bond that unites them. They try to reconnect after long years of silence, but the road is difficult... a road movie for a total immersion in French Guiana.
The director, Serge Poyotte, takes us to his native country with its history, the stigma of the past, its culture, the vibrations of the components of the multi-ethnic society. He gives with subtlety the reflection to the culture with the Touloulou. He chooses to go beyond the figure of Touloulou to highlight the fragility of Solange.
Ricky Tribord was born in Paris. His family is originally from French Guiana. Between 1997 and 2002, he trained as an actor at the Atelier Blanche Salant-Paul Weaver, then at the Magasin with
Marc Adjadj.
He got his first film role in the film Virility by Ronan Girre, then he was cast in Three Zeros by Fabien Onteniente, Orpailleur by Marc Barrat, in the series Code Barge and in the British series Murders in Paradise. In 2011, he played the lead role in La France qui se lève tôt, a short film by Hugo Chesnard nominated for a César award and audience award
at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
In 2016, he was seen with Franck Dubosc in Les Têtes de l'emploi by Alexandre Charlot and Franck Magnier. In 2017, he appeared in an episode of the Office of Legends, played Gabriel in the series Guyane and Mickaël in Welcome to Gondwana by Mamane1.
For French filmmaker Pélagie Serge Poyotte, he is the lead actor in the film The Link That Unites Us in 2019.
